     I hope my work serves as a reminder to be receptive to mystery. Whether artist or viewer, individual life experience makes its way into every artwork while Nature reminds us we are all part of something larger."

Michelle Louis is a full-time painter based near Madison, Wisconsin. Best known for process-focused abstract landscapes, her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and abroad, including the National Gallery of Costa Rica. She's licensed work to designers and consultants for projects large and small. 

Artist and naturalist trained in studio art, landscape architecture, and graphic design, with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin, Michelle Louis's studio extends to her yard, where she nurtures an edible landscape. She was named  to Best of 2025, by Saatchi Art, the world's leading online gallery.
Michelle documents her experience in nature through
playfully energetic and boldly constructed abstract paintings.
